This is an overdue post.
September 10 (1st day):
Location: Al Sultan Beach Resort, Al Khor Qatar
We left our home in Doha at exactly 9 o’clock in the morning. Hubby was in a hurry since we need to pass by the gasoline station to buy water along the way. We arrived at Sultan Beach Resort around 9:45am – we checked in. We stayed inside the room and decided to take a nap with the little one. Buffet lunch will be served between 11am to 1pm, so we still had the time to rest and prepare for a long day ahead of us. Too bad I wasn’t able to take photos using my SLR while we were eating. I was too lazy to bring along with me my cam since I was so sleepy when the lunch was served.
After a sumptuous lunch, we went back to our rooms again and decided to sleep since most of us slept too late the day before. Baby J I guess got tired as well since she slept too.
We alarmed our phone past 5:30pm to get ready for a swim.
Baby J had a good time in the pool. Made herself as if she knows how to swim. The water in the kiddy pool was up to her chest, just perfect for her to walk around. I was around all the time beside her. She doesn’t want me to hold her while she walk-swim. Brave enough to be on her own. Masha’Allah!
September 11 (2nd day):
And here’s another set of random photos as well taken on the 2nd day. We woke up looking the sun outside. See the little one on the first photo? I was taking some random photos and she wanted to look over as well.
Breakfast was served from 7:30am to 10am. The gang were all up just about time to eat.
And then on lunch, we ordered food and see the photo beside the bed? Their Carbonara is one so mouth watering! So yummy! Delicious!
September 12 (3rd day):
And here’s our last day. I decided to take baby Julia out for a quick photo session. She’s growing up so fast. Oh dear! Thank you oh God for giving us this day to enjoy ourselves as a family.
I will try to post some pictures of our first trip here in Sultan Beach resort. We first went here last 2007, then 2008 (when I was I think 7 or 8 months carrying baby J). 2009 was the most boring Eid ever. We stayed at home only that time since baby J was still small and precious to carry on a long trip. That’s why this year, we really made sure we enjoy our 1st Eid Holiday together.
Eid is one of the best working days ever for the year. Looking forward for this month end’s pay day since it’s a double pay. And then we had to plan payday advances for our next month’s annual vacation to Philippines. We have to save up for it.
We went for a walk at the park and a picnic as well with Hubby’s friends. I took a shot using Hisptamatic app that I bought for $1.99 only. I love this application!
Along the streets of Corniche. The twirl building on the right is the Al Fanar Center where I used to attend Islamic classes. Those were the days.
This was taken overlooking our rooftop.
Just random flowers along the street walk.
Not so much lately. Work work work. Be back in a while though.
This is the 3rd day that I’m awake in the night and sleepy in the morning. I lay down in bed past 3 o’clock just after eating our Zahoor and found myself still awake past 7 o’clock in the morning! And when I looked over our bedroom window, the sun is already up. Sigh… oh dear Mr. Sleep, I miss you badly. Please come and visit me one time *sniff*
A close friend celebrated his 25th birthday in an Italian Restaurant located at one of the oldest places in Doha, Souq Waqif. Click on the image below to give you some incites about the place.
Here’s another black and white shot using my iPhone. I forgot to bring my camera unfortunately so all the shots taken that night was only through our camera phones.
And here I am taking a pose just outside the restaurant. We had fun eating Italian foods. I’ll be inviting Hubby to dine in again. It’s a little bit costly but the taste of an Italian food is perfect.
Happy birthday again to our dear friend Mr. M. We all wish him good health as always and success on his endeavors.
The heat is on! This photo was taken during our journey from Jeddah going to Mecca last month. And imagine this in the afternoon here in Qatar. We can feel the heat of the sun and heat + humidity. Dust every where and for that, baby J’s suffering with cough and cold at the same time. Hubby’s nostrils are clogged as well. For me, my eyes are itchy because of the wind.
Last night, poor girl wasn’t able to sleep properly because she was coughing most of the times. I had to get up every 30 minutes, ending up sleepless and had to work this morning. Motherhood. No regrets. Everything for the her. I think she’s teething as well. She kept on playing with her gums + and since she has cold, she now knows how to squeeze her nose, ha-ha!
There were rumors that the weather will get worst by next month. God bless the Middle East! Stay safe everyone.
Yesterday afternoon, Hubby and I got bored in the house so we decided to explore another city of Qatar which is at Al Wakra. Hubby said that there’s a beach with a not-too-much rocky shore. I had plans in the afternoon so we had to move our schedule. Good thing our Dentist have a flexible time so we were able to move our appointment from 6pm to 7:30pm.
Tagging along a friend with us, we enjoyed the summer heat yesterday welcoming the afternoon sun and a not-too-much hot weather of 42°C (yeah! This is colder compare to the other day which was 55°C!)
Here are some photos to share with you:
You’ll see farther left an Oil Plant. As you may know, Qatar is one of the richest oil producing country in the middle east – aside from Saudi Arabia which is the first.
Me and friend Ezel grabbing a pose.
I risk to put down my camera and tried to shoot and here’s the result. I felt like this one is so real. Yikes!
DAY 186/365 – THE 365 DAYS PROJECT
Hubby was asking me to jump over the other side of the rock. But I couldn’t! I told him my steps are so small that I will not be able to leap on the other side. I might fall down! Wahaaaaa! What a coward person I am.
And here I am with my 1 year and 8mos old baby Julia. Oh dear… she’s growing up really fast. Time flies so fast really. We’re planning to have her bangs cut by next week. I’m having a hard time doing putting up her hair since she moves a lot, ugh! We love you Mama!
Hope you had a good weekend.
DAY 153 – THE 365 DAYS PROJECT
Hi everyone! Today is Wednesday. It was a fulfilling day. After work, we finalized our schedule for next week. I’ll be on leave for a week to visit my in-laws. We picked up a package as well from Q-Post today and we visited a friend too. Got the chance to take a shot of Villaggio’s finest work of art.
Got to go for now, need to run some errands again.
