Tracy and the whole group can still welcome you even if we’re on the 2nd quarter of this year already. So go go go!

I don’t want to have too much blog back log on my 365 project so here goes the rest of the photos that was not included before.

“Pamana” for Julie from Julia

I just got hold of Julia’s infant clothes. There’s a lot of clothes that are still in good condition, so I will let Julie use it for her first 3 months. Babies grow fast you know, so it’s not reasonable (for me) to buy new sets. However, when I checked over it, I noticed that I don’t have cotton mitts and caps. If I’m not mistaken I threw some of or had probably given it to some friends who gave birth last last year. I’m not really sure. I have a few Onesies but most of them are good for 2 months already. I have around 3 set of frog suits only – but not for new born. So I asked Hubby to ask SIL if she can guide me to a place here where I can buy in sets. We’re set to go on Thursday to get some new stuff.

We visited a mall near by and I find it very expensive. The price are not reasonable, so might as well go for the good deals rather than spending too much. Right now, I’m happy that we were able to buy bottle sterilizer and some feeding bottles for Julie. I’m crossing my fingers that Insha Allah (God willing) I can make a long run for breast feeding Julie. That reminds me that I also need to buy a breast pump to assist me. Oh my! I’m noting a lot of things to buy. Good thing that we’re having another girl. Pink is a major part of Julia’s closet :D Imagine if I’m bearing a boy – yikes!

Our Baby is 30 Weeks

How your baby’s growing:
Your baby’s about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it’s not very keen; even after she’s born, she’ll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she’ll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

How Am I Feeling?
Well, aside from being bloated like before, I feel a little pain on my sides as I go to sleep at night. I have a hard time finding a comfortable way to sleep now. Haaay… I had my OGTT last week, and thank God Alhamdulillah my Glucose went well – except for my Hemoglobin and my Calcium which are both 1% low with the supposed normal range. So aside from eating and drinking lots of milk, I’m forced to eat cheese as well.

Julie’s active as ever. For our next visit, we’ll have another 4D Ultrasound to see her. I pray for a healthy baby girl – nothing more, nothing less. 10 more weeks to go. May God Allah bless me all the way.

Random Updates

It’s been a while. I’ve been wanting to blog for some time about recent happenings about me and my family but I couldn’t manage my time with blogging vs cooking vs pregnancy mood swings. But since I’m not that busy now, let me do this as fast as I can.

Now, where do we begin?

  • We went to Lebanon the other week. We renewed SIL’s passport. We left the house at exactly 5:45am and we arrived back around 7:30pm. We stayed over in another SIL’s house to drop MIL since she and my other SIL will stay there for the night with Hubby’s grandmother.
  • I’m on my 29th week. A few more days. Can’t wait for the big labor day.
  • MIL left yesterday for a month stay with FIL in Rabegh (part of Jeddah).
  • Yesterday, I also did an OGT Test. I passed the Glucose test. However my hemoglobin and calcium are 1% low with the normal range. So yesterday night, I was given another set of Calcium tablets to drink once a day and another set of vitamins to keep my folic and iron up. I’m underweight as per my OB. I’m only 46kgs right now. Watda! With Julia, I was 63kgs on my 9th month. I’m now on my 7th. But my fellow mommies told me not to worry. As long as Julie’s doing good and all vital signs are okay, I can worry with my weight and her current weight too after giving birth.
  • We’re waiting for a good news. I can’t blog about it right now – but soon. Insha Allah, ya rab!

Our Baby is 28 Weeks

How your baby’s growing:
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She’s also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

28 Weeks

How Am I Feeling?
I feel heavy and full. My tummy’s big now. I can feel a lot of kicks from baby Julie every now and then, most especially if she’s hungry. And at the night, I need to place a pillow on my sides to make me feel comfortable. I’ve been sleeping with 2 pillows on my head, but now, I need to be a little bit higher than the usual. It’s the last trimester of my pregnancy. I’m scared to be honest. I’m praying that I’ll give birth naturally – I mean not on CS. I asked hubby that we need to take a glucose screening test soon. Last month, I made a sugar and blood test – everything is fine except for my calcium. It’s a little bit low so the doctor prescribed a medicine for me to drink once a day and advised me to eat cheese or drink milk. I hope the next test, everything will be normal again.

I can’t wait to see what Julie will look like. All of us are anxious to see her. We’ll be getting Julia’s baby clothes next month too. I need to check what are the things I need to buy before giving birth.

Now it’s time to update my overdue post for the 365 days project. Sorry it took me a long time to post it here. I had to configure how to share photos from Instagram to Flickr. Clicking the image will bring you to the set where I posted all of images.

365/67-76

Day 67 – Julia’s bed marks on her face. It’s funny house babies and toddlers sleep. A friend said that probably she fell into a deep sleep that’s why she woke up with these marks. I’m so glad she did. Well, if so I’m so glad she did.
Day 68 – Banana Crepe made my SIL with lots of love.
Day 69 – Julia and her cousins, Yara and Yazan.
Day 70 – Me at 26 weeks with lots of peanuts on my side.
Day 71 – Look at who has an eye for Julia?
Day 72 – Another set of banana crepe from SIL. This time custard inside.
Day 73 – Peanut overload.
Day 74 – Bored Julia.
Day 75 – Krispy Crème for breakfast when we arrived in Beirut.
Day 76 – Me and my crave for McDonalds – a dream come true, finally!
Day 77 – M&M’s addiction. Counting down 94 days to go.
Day 78 – When Instagram made their recent update, me and my friends over Twitter got addicted with the Tilt+Shift features of it. It made it look like it’s a shot from a DSLR camera. Cool right? We heart Instagram.

A Birthday Gift

A friend of ours over Twitter announces the big news to us yesterday. Her son just turned 3 recently. And it’s her birthday as well yesterday. Now she’s pregnant again. She and some friends just arrived from a quick get away from Boracay, and we’re so happy to hear the good news from her aside from their safe trip back home. Congratulations dear Maileen! Another Twitter baby for this year.
