For Our 5th Year

Today is our 5th year as husband and wife. I had to made a layout for this day, but I don’t have much time this morning to scrap from scratch. In times like this, a call for QP for the rescue.

Today marks another year for us Sweety. 5 years of being together. Having you every day is already a blessing for us. Alhamdulillah for having you back. Our 4th year was a tough year for us. But we made it through, by the grace of Allah. Now on our 5th, I know that we can do everything together. I’ll stand by your side, love, care and be the best wife for you. I’ll cook for you too, hahaha! Happy Anniversary Sweety. Thank you for the love, care, trust, for being a generous person, and for just simply loving and accepting me as I am. I love you with all my heart and soul.

Happy DSD!

For some, it means good deals for digital scrapbooking kits. Lots of sales around the corner. Grabbing offers, giveaways, promo codes and upto 75% off for all kits. For me, I found myself scrapping a layout for my husband instead.

The 5 Languages of Love

And this is what I get from taking the 15 minutes assessment from The 5 Languages of Love site.

The 5 Languges of Love

My fellow mommies are answering this when I checked some updates from them through Instagram. So I got curious and took the test as well. And I just wish now that Hubby’s here with me so that I can check his. I will have him take these test soon… till then, I have to wait…

Our highest score is Acts of Service and Physical Touch. Hmmm… he really does a lot to me make me feel comfortable. I never imagined that it’s already a sign of love. And even before, when we were still boyfriend and girlfriend, he asked me first if I’m comfortable with this or that. He’s my Matt Farell IRL.

Acts of Service
Can vacuuming the floors really be an expression of love? Absolutely! Anything you do to ease the burden of responsibilities weighing on an “Acts of Service” person will speak volumes. The words he or she most want to hear: “Let me do that for you.” Laziness, broken commitments, and making more work for them tell speakers of this language their feelings don’t matter.

Now it’s your turn to take the assessment.

Migraine Attack

Last night reminded me that being pregnant saved me from one of my weaknesses. I was free of migraine for the last 8 months. I was experiencing a slight headache, but a paracetamol like Panadol and Biogesic can take the pain away easily. But last night, my biggest fear came back.

I started to feel pain at my nape then running up to my forehead and down to my t-zone area. I thought it’s just signs of a possible cold since I’ve been sneezing as well for the last few days. But I was wrong. I wasn’t able to sleep last night because Lily had a hard time sleeping. So me and Hubby was awake the whole night. I guess that’s one of the reasons why I had a migraine yesterday.

I threw up for like 6x. I tried to shake it off by sleeping, but when I woke up, it got worst.

I tried eating, but it was no use. It went out again obviously :(

I tried eating watermelon – thinking that since it’s something cold it might give me a boost, but then again, I threw up.

As of this time, I feel much better now. 3 tabs of Extra Panadol, 1 Biogesic and 1 Zumigraine – yeah, got addicted to drugs last night. I was in a hurry to be okay because I was shy for Hubby to look over our two kids alone. Lily’s a little bit fussy and the big sister wants to be the center of attention ever since her little sister was born. Thank God Alhamdulillah for having a husband who has a long patience with kids. He was able to look over them while I was trembling with pain. Anyway, I do hope that the next migraine attack will not be soon. I’m not yet ready for it.

Make Back-up!

The other day, I cried over my 1 1/2 year old EHD. I was using it just fine, then when I was about to use it again, suddenly had an error message saying “Reformat needed…” :( I asked helped from Hubby. He tried all the applications there is to try not reformatting it but to no avail. After 2 hours of trying, we both decided to just reformat it and we’ll just try to recover – which was the last option we had. All my personal files (Blogging issues, CVs), Digi-scrapbooking kits (since 2005), photos over the years (2005-present including travel photos and newborn pictures of Julie and Julia), software and movies are all stored on my EHD. I cried first of all for the newborn photos of my kids, personal files and my kits.

Alhamdulillah! Thanks God for having a techy husband. He was able to recover 85% of my files. But most of the photos taken January-April 2011 are all corrupted. Good thing I have it all uploaded over Flickr already. Movies are all gone except for 6 movies which thank God again are a few of my favorites (Sleepless in Seattle, The Proposal, Leap Year and Notting Hill + 2 Tagalog Movies). All software are all corrupted too. 80% of my total kits was recovered as well. I have to check though with one of my favorite designers regarding a template that I purchased last year. The file that I have got corrupted too. I’m still waiting for response though.

“I learned my lesson – the hard way…” I said to my Husband. From now on, I’ll make sure to back-up my file at least once a week. Thank you Sweety for helping me out with this issue. And for you out there, if you don’t have any back-up yet of your files, do it now. You’ll never know when your EHD will fail.

Boyfriend 5.0 vs Husband 1.0

So here’s the thing. I previously received an email that was posted before this about Girlfriend 1.0 vs Wife 1.0 – so here’s another side of the story. Let’s put it the other way around. I was laughing while reading this. I’m sure you can relate especially since it “US” Wife 1.0 involved this time. Read along and I’m sure you will not waste your time reading this.

FAQ’S AND TECHS SUPPORT –
"HUSBAND 1.0 SOFTWARE UPGRADE TROUBLESHOOTS"

Dear Tech Support,

Recently I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed that the new program began making unexpected changes to the accounting software, severely limiting access to wardrobe, flower and jewelry applications that operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. No mention of this phenomenon was included in the product brochure. In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalls many other valuable programs such as DinnerDancing 7.5, CruiseShip 2.3, and OperaNight 6.1 and installs new, undesirable programs such as PokerNight 1.3, SaturdayFootball 5.0, Golf 2.4 and ClutterEverywhere 4.5. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and invariably crashes the system. Under no circumstances will it run DiaperChanging 14.1 or HouseCleaning 2.6. I’ve tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix Husband 1.0, but this all purpose utility is of only limited effectiveness. Can you help, please!!

Sincerely,
XXX

Dear XXX,

This is a very common problem women complain about, but it is mostly due to a primary misconception. Many people upgrade from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 with no idea that Boyfriend 5.0 is merely an ENTERTAINMENT package. However, Husband 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and was designed by its creator to run as few applications as possible. Further, you cannot purge Husband 1.0 and return to Boyfriend 5.0, because Husband 1.0 is not designed to do this. Hidden operating files within your system would cause Boyfriend 5.0 to emulate Husband 1.0, so nothing is gained. It is impossible to uninstall, delete, or purge the program files from the system, once installed. Any new program files can only be installed once
per year, as Husband 1.0 has severely limited memory. Error messages are common, and a normal part of Husband 1.0.

In desperation to play some of their "old time" favorite applications, or to get new applications to work, some women have tried to install Boyfriend 6.0, or Husband 2.0. However, these women end up with more problems than  encountered with Husband 1.0. Look in your manual under "Warnings: Divorce/Child Support." You will notice that this program runs very poorly, and comes bundled with HeartBreak 1.3. I recommend you keep Husband 1.0, and just learn the quirks of this strange and illogical system. Having Husband 1.0 installed myself, I might also suggest you read the entire section regarding General Partnership Faults [GPFs]. This is a wonderful feature of Husband 1.0, secretly installed by the parent company as an integral part of the operating system. Husband 1.0 must assume ALL responsibility for ALL faults and problems, regardless of root cause. To activate this great feature enter the command "C:\ I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME". Sometimes Tears 6.2 must be run simultaneously while entering the command. Husband 1.0 should then run the applications Apologize 12.3 and Flowers/Chocolates 7.8.

TECH TIP!
Avoid excessive use of this feature. Overuse can create additional and more serious GPFs, and ultimately YOU may have to give a C:\ I APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal operations. Overuse can also cause Husband 1.0 to default to GrumpySilence 2.5, or worse yet, to Beer 6.0. Beer 6.0 is a very bad program that causes Husband 1.0 to create FatBelly files and SnoringLoudly wave files that are very hard to delete. Save yourself some trouble by following this tech tip!

Just remember! The system will run smoothly, and take the blame for all GPFs, but because of this fine feature it can only intermittently run all the applications Boyfriend 5.0 ran. Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. Consider buying additional software to improve performance. I personally recommend HotFood 3.0, Lingerie 5.3 and Patience 10.1. Used in conjunction, these utilities can really help keep Husband 1.0 running smoothly. After several years of use, Husband 1.0 will become familiar and you will find many valuable embedded features such as FixBrokenThings 2.1, Snuggling 4.2 and BestFriend 7.6.

A final word of caution! Do NOT, under any circumstances, install MotherInLaw 1.0. This is not a supported application, and will cause selective shutdown of the operating system. Husband 1.0 will run only Fishing 9.4 and Hunting 5.2 until MotherInLaw 1.0 is uninstalled.

I hope these notes have helped. Thank you for choosing to install Husband 1.0 and we here at Tech Support wish you the best of luck in coming years. We trust you will learn to fully enjoy this product!

Tech Support

This is the worst part of this story. Hahaha! :D But based on XXX experience, I had the feeling from the very start that this might happen.

Follow-up mail from tech support:

Dear XXX,

Your Husband 1.0 has been infected with the Mistress 2.1 virus. Try
Divorce 3.5 to remove present headaches.

Girlfriend 1.0 vs Wife 1.0

A friend just forwarded an email to me that made me laugh. Imagine the situation if we’re being called like this. I told her that I’ll forward this as well to Husband 1.0 so that he’ll have an idea on how to handle this kinds of problems. Read on. I’m sure you’ll repost this.

TROUBLESHOOTING AND HOW TO’S:
SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR "WIFE PROGRAM"

To: Tech Support

Last year I upgraded Girlfriend 1.0 to Wife 1.0 and noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. No mention of the phenomenon was included in the product brochure.

In addition, Wife 1.0 installs itself into all other programs and launches during system initialization where it monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Pokernight 10.3 and Beerbash 2.5 no longer run, crashing the system whenever selected. I cannot seem to purge Wife 1.0 from my system. I am thinking about going back to Girlfriend 1.0, but un-install does not work on this program. Can you
help me?

Jonathan Powell

To: Mr. Powell

This is a very common problem men complain about, but is mostly due to a primary misconception. Many men upgrade from Girlfriend 1.0 to Wife 1.0 with the idea that Wife 1.0 is merely a "UTILITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT" program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its creator to run everything.

It is impossible to un-install, delete, or purge from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 1.0 because Wife 1.0 is not designed to do this. Some have tried to install Girlfriend 2.0 or Wife 2.0 but end up with more problems than their original system. Look in your manual under Warnings – Alimony / Child Support. I recommend you keep Wife 1.0 and just deal with the situation.

Having Wife 1.0 installed myself, I might also suggest you read the entire section regarding General Protection Faults (GPSs). You must assume all responsibility for faults and problems that might occur. The best course of action will be to push the apologize button, then the reset button as soon as lock-up occurs. System will run smooth as long as you take the blame for all GPFS. Wife 1.0 is a great program but is very high maintenance.

Memories in London

It was Friday when the world stood still to witness the marriage of the Prince and the Commoner. I woke up just in time when my friends over Twitter started to do their updates on what’s on the screen. I wanted to watch online but the site was blocked. I was about to loose hope. Lucky me! I asked Hubby to check the if BBC World is having it live, and tada! It was.

William and Harry just arrived in the Westminster Abbey when we started watching. Then memories all came back to me and my husband because of our trip last year to London. I couldn’t believe that their way was exactly the same way we journeyed by walk when Kate (my friend not the Duchess of Cambridge) and her boyfriend Jun toured us on our last day in London. But for us, we started off our journey that day from the London Bridge, London Eye, then went back to Westminster Abbey, a walk through the House of Guards, then a long stroll at the St. James Park and finally the Buckingham Palace.

Royal wedding: The route on the day

And here are some pictures to share. Let’s start with from the Westminster Abbey going to the Palace instead.

Here’s the front of the Westminster Abbey. The Royal Wedding entrance was at the other side.

And here’s the Horse Guard Parade. This was where they entered from the road of the Buckingham Palace.

Then a long walk in the St. James Park – just along the street where the parade passed by in the wedding.

And finally, here I was approaching the Buckingham Palace. A dream come true for me and my husband.

And leaving you by the seal of the Royal Family.  London was lovely indeed! Very lovely!

Our 4th Year Together

An overdue post. Sharing you an LO I made for our 4th Year Wedding Anniversary which was last 19th of April 2011.

LO42 - Looking Back

Journaling:

"It was 4 years ago when I learned that I can’t leave without you. You made each day meaningful. Knowing that a day without seeing or talking to you was the worst feeling ever. And so we decided to get married. Marrying you was the 2nd best decision I’ve ever made in my life. LOVING you was the first.

Who would have thought that someone like you can fall in love with a person as small as me? You accepted me as I am. You believed in my capabilities and most of all, you gave me your words of trustworthy, loyalty and faithfulness.

I’ve never been away from you. If I do, it’s like a feeling of living inside a room without nothing to sit on. Your presence has always been my COMFORT.

2010 was a great year for us. It was a year of challenge for both of us. As parents and as human beings. But inspite of those challenges, I was never afraid. You know why? Because I know that whatever is the outcome, you’ll always be there for us. US as a couple, and US as SOULMATES.

So here we are, 4 years after. Still holding on. You gave me 2 wonderful reasons to be alive again. And meaningful reasons to wake up each day.

First, you gave me 2 adorable children to treasure for a lifetime. Second is that, YOU’RE STILL MY MAN.

I love You so so so much Sweety. Thank you for loving me. Happy 4th Year Wedding Anniversary."

And this is the first time that I’ve used so many papers and elements from different kits.
