The Girl’s Room

image I love this idea for a head to head bedroom design for my girl’s room. Since Julia will be staying for quite some time alone, we might put a sofa on the other bed, what do you think? I’ve already saved this image for reference. Baby #2 will be sleeping on the crib anyway. I hope the idea will be liked by hubby.

There’s another a lternative for it if Hubby didn’t’ like the idea.

And to occupy the space for her school things, this will do great too.

Thinking of these designs makes me hungry. Let me think of some ideas for the mean time about some appetite suppressant that works and then I’ll go ahead to search for some home ideas once more.

I wish that I can find myself scrapping just in time for sweet home to be build. I could use up my abandoned PS actions for this type of template. Such lovely photos of Julia awaits to be framed. Sigh… I really do miss scrapping, is it that obvious? Hahaha!

DAY 11 – This was taken at the hi-way on our way up to the mountains going to Beirut Lebanon Tuesday morning. The snow tops on top of the mountains are such a wonderful view from afar. So sad though we were not able to come up due to the limited time we had to stay in Lebanon. Probably next time we can go up once more and let Julia experience her first time in the snow.
Day 11
DAY 12 – A very happy Julia while having our lunch at Shrimpy – a sea food restaurant, famous for their delicious shrimps.
Day 12
DAY 13 – Just another sunny afternoon play time with Papa dear. My little girl is such a daddy’s girl indeed.
Day 13
DAY 14 – Our last trip along the Corniche of Beirut. We left early just in time for sunrise and view of their light house.
Day 14

iPhone’s Radio App

I’m so thankful that I was able to download an iPhone app recently and it’s called “Radio PHI”. It’s connected via wireless and it has this buffered features that enables a listener to enjoy live music played locally in the Philippine FM Radio stations. Feeling myself like home. I suddenly missed having a real surround speakers that I can use while listening to the songs over the radio. Sigh… sorry for ranting. I feel home sick right now.

Philippine E-Passport Experience

This is a long over due post. But I had to post it for a remembrance. Hahaha! During our stay in the Philippines, I had to renew my passport since I will not be able to apply for a visa going for a short vacation here in Syria. My passport will expire originally next month. But according to Syrian Embassy, passport should at least be valid for 6 months.

I found out that there’s a new way to renew Passports in the Philippines since you have to undergo appointments online. When I visited DFA’s official site regarding this new procedures, I found it very convenient honestly speaking. However, the dates which you have to wait to set the appointment is a burden for all. During that time (which was last month) the next slot to go to the DFA’s office was January 18th 2011. It will like take me a month to wait. I was left with no choice but to ask help from my 2nd sister to go over DFA’s office personally to seek guidance as to what we can do to expedite the procedure for renewing my passport. Thank God my sister’s good PR was a good help at that time. She was able to go inside and talk to the Director and asked approval for my immediate personal appearance. I was able to visit DFA the next day.

I was given 2 choices by the clerk. First was to renew and at the same time change my last name on my passport, but the releasing of my new passport will be on the 28th of December. That was like 17 days of waiting, which was way too long for us to wait.

The 2nd choice was just to do an amendment on my passports saying that it’s extended for another 2 years (up until 2012) and another amendment saying that the bearer of the passport will hold my married surname. If this will be done, I will just wait for 3 days then I can pick-up my passport. I chose the 2nd one obviously.

We were so thankful for the lady who helped us. She made it very easy for us – without bribing anyone.

So for anyone of you readers who wants to renew their passport, take my advice and do it 6 months before the expiration date. If you’re out of the country, better consult your embassies regarding the procedure as well to avoid inconvenience on your part. Good luck!

We’re Back!

DAY 9 – This is on KESHK AL ‘OMARA meaning “The Sweets of the Princess”. Hubby’s uncle went over to visit and dropped this delicious sweet made of milk and some other ingredients I don’t know in particular actually. But the taste is delicious, it’s the most important thing.

DAY 8 – Monster Inc for the nth time again. I’m lying in bed right now making the little one busy for some time. Hubby’s not feeling well right now. So he’s outside in the living room gaining some strength.

It’s quite cold right now here and a lot of my friends are all not feeling well too. Stay safe everyone and back up your daily routine with vitamin C.

Realization

Thanks to Kerslyn for this wonderful email I received the other day. Read on and be inspired, because I really was inspired.

To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did. When God takes something from your grasp, He’s not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence…

The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Something good will happen to you today; something that you have been waiting to hear.

There comes a point in your life when you realize:
Who matters,
Who never did,
Who won’t anymore…
And who always will.
So, don’t worry about people from your past,
there’s a reason why they didn’t make it to your future.

Blog Hosting

2 of my blog domain will expire by next month. I’ve already asked some help from an online friend Lourdez regarding some ideas about hosting. Right now I’m reading some ideas as well from pci hosting for more details.

I’ll be transferring soon to another blog support. But I’m still in second thoughts for that. I’m totally not sure if I’ll continue with it. I need to clarify some stuff first before ending up my loyalty with the big “B”.
