I know it’s too early to plan this, but I was looking for some flowers online and came across some plants as Easter gifts. I then realized that it’s really a good idea to give this as gifts for next year’s Easter.
We don’t celebrate this since we’re Muslim but I know you guys out there who are Christian can simply get an idea from this. Hope it helps.
My kids have been trying on my Aldo shades, and here’s what they look like. Aren’t they adorable or what?
You can see Lily’s 2 cute baby teeth in front. There’s one up and we’re hoping that another one will show up soon. Imagine her with only 1 front teeth, hahaha!
Ate Julia on the other hand is growing up too fast. Her face has changed so much. Her hair is much longer now and she loves wearing dresses too. Pretending to be Tinker Bell most of the times. She makes up stories such as flying, walking, riding the horses and all the unbelievable things a toddler can make up. Which is really fine with us. Her imagination is getting there. That’s all for an update for my kiddos.
Do I need new eyeglasses or what? I’ve been experiencing migraine attack for the past few days. And one thing you have to know about me when I have a migraine is that I’m stuck in the bed. I will not get up until the it subsides, otherwise you’ll never wish to see the next scene, it means — off to the toilet and throw up. I asked Hubby if he can buy Advil for me. I tried taking Zomigraine but the effect of it doesn’t sway off easily. It felt like my head is so heavy up until the next day. So I’m taking Advil for a change. Extra Panadol doesn’t do any good for me anymore. It just takes the headache for like an hour then it’ll come back. Geesh! When will this stop.
Whispered a prayer for the people who died in Homs. The souls of these innocent children are now flying up high as angels in heaven. I cried so much seeing these shocking photos of children who can’t even fight back now lying on the floor lifeless. I’m just imagining them sleeping right now. Children under 10 years old?! This is cruelty!
I hope that the United Nation will do something about these. KILLING is a crime. No one deserves to be killed like these. I pray that justice will prevail and Insha Allah God willing, revenge will be noted down from the criminals, soul-less people who do such thing. I swear that their souls are burning right now in hell. Fear and tremble will come upon them, once judgment day comes and take them away from this earth.
I still remember when I was young that my sister tried enrolling in a cosmetology school back home. She wanted to have a business of her own, and the fastest growing career that time is in the cosmetic section.
Now I have a friend in the States who is a stay-at-home-mom like me, and she recently enrolled in one of the Regency Cosmetology Schools in her area. Good for her because I’ve heard so much about Regency. It’s one of the leading beauty center that provides unique learning system, stunning facilities, partnered with other Salons as well and lastly a standardized franchising facilities. If you’re in the area and want to know more about their admission, you can visit their website at www.regencybeauty.com.

SIL recently celebrated her birthday at Applebee’s Dubai. Then we went home to blow her cake topped with the free Syrian flag.
We’re so blessed to have her in our lives. SIL is such a good person with a heart of a gold. She opened up her home for me and my family. We’re so thankful for her and her husband. May Allah bless her with good health and may her wishes come true.
We’re on a diet for the past few weeks. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before over here that 3 years ago, Hubby went to a Laparoscopic (minimally-invasive) Surgery for GERD. Here’s a quick insight regarding this illness.
What is gastroesophageal reflux?
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a digestive disorder that affects the lower esophageal sphincter (the muscular ring connecting the esophagus with the stomach). The sphincter normally prevents food from moving out of the stomach and back up into the esophagus.
When a person has GERD, the sphincter muscle becomes weak or fails to close tightly, causing food and stomach acids to flow back (reflux) into the esophagus. The lining of the esophagus can become inflamed or irritated from these acids, which can cause a burning chest pain and sometimes a sour taste or cough.
GERD can sometimes be managed by:
Taking medications to reduce acid in the stomach
Decreasing the size of meals
Losing weight, if overweight
Avoiding certain acidic foods that irritate the esophageal lining
Not lying down for two to three hours after eating
Elevating the head of the bed six inches
The below photo was how Hubby’s stomach look like after his operation.
We thought that it will not make any more problems in the future. But just a few weeks ago, Hubby was complaining for like every other week about the pain that he’s feeling exactly in the middle of his stomach. I was worried already that his acidity level went up again. And so I was right. One morning, I found him vomiting in the washroom and telling us that he can no longer endure the pain. BIL took him to the nearest hospital. He’s now on a strict diet. As per doctor’s advice to eat as minimal as possible in each meal. He can eat 3 or 4x a day for as long as the meal will not be too much.
Here’s what we prepared for him last week. A bowl of Quaker White Oats and a Greek salad. No oily foods, no citrus, no milk and no caffeine for him. He’s taking a medicine that will last for 14 days. Alhamdulillah Thank God he don’t have any stomach pain from the start of his medication.
Anyway, that’s it for Hubby’s health. Hoping for the best. Insha Allah.
Aside from looking for good Joe Rocket Sonic R Boots for my uncle who prefers motor biking instead of driving his own car, I’m in the process of teaching my kid for her reading and writing skills one more time.
Practice makes perfect. I’m hoping to give her a good start once she’s ready to go to school. She’s now 3.6years old and these are her achivement:
She knows her ABC by heart (capital and small letter)
She knows her numbers from 1-10 and is trying hard to count up to 20.
She knows her Alphabet’s phonics. But we’re still practicing so that she won’t forget.
She’s trying her hard to read a 3 letter word. So right now, we’re focusing on words like: ant, kit, got, gum, hot, hug, jab etc – and I’m proud that she’s doing very very very well.
She can write her full name without tracing it (WTG!!!)
So that’s it for now. I pray that her patience with studying will linger and she’ll learn to embrace the benefits of education. I can’t wait for her to see a school room in real life. I want her to experience the ambiance in the school. Hopefully we can have her sit one day before the school year end.
1. What a beautiful DAY IT IS. 2. AM I right? 3. It’s no surprise, WE ALL KNOW THAT WE ARE CUTE (chos!). 4. HAVING NO EXTRA INCOME wasn’t easy, but WE’RE HANDLING IT SMOOTHLY. 5. I like to try BUNGIE JUMPING (yeah right! as if I’m not scared of heights, hahaha!). 6. “DON’T STOP BELIEVING” by Glee is one of my most favorite songs! 7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to WATCH A MOVIE MARATHON WITH HUBBY & SIL (HERLOCK HOLMES 1&2), tomorrow my plans include STAYING AT HOME LIKE ALL THE SAME DAY and Sunday, I want to BE FULLY OKAY. I HAVE A COLD.
Thanks MOMMY! I am what I am today because of you.
I can’t help myself to cry over this video. Another Mother’s day not being with my mom. I’ll call her then to tell her how much I appreciate her in my life.
Being a stay-at-home mom to my kids makes me want to stay home and not work at all. But if this is really what Allah wants me to do, I accept it whole heartedly. But if there will be a sign for me to go back to work, I know he’ll provide a way on who to look after my kids while I’m away. For now, I’m enjoying every bit of my life at home seeing them grew. Especially with Julia to whom I focus most of my free time in teaching her and making her ready to go to school. Insha Allah God willing.
I’m so proud of her. She started off being scared just by dipping in the water. But after a few minutes of getting used to it, she can be left alone floating with the help of course of her floating vest, and even kicking herself to move from side to side.
She went out of the pool so red, and now her color is tan. Like as if she went to under the spray tan, hahaha! I do hope that someday, Insha Allah God willing, I can enroll her for a swimming lesson too – just like what I did one summer vacation during my high school days. Never the less, good job ate Julia! I hope that you’ll conquer your fear of water again on our next dip.
