Meet My X

James McAvoy is my official “X” from now on. After seeing X-Men: First Class, I’ve been obsessed with McAvoy. And when I say obsessed, literally obsessed. I made his photo for next month’s desktop wallpaper. And below are photos of him as a wallpaper for my iphone lock screen using Lemeleme app.

And I’m currently downloading all his hit movies. And I hate “Becoming Jane”. It made me sad watching that movie. I should’ve read the reviews before watching it so that I will not expect too much. I thought the ending will have the same endings like her novels (“Pride & Prejudice” and “Sense & Sensibility”), a happy ending. And so it hurts a lot knowing that Lefroy didn’t end up with Austen. I so love McAvoy in his 2006 movie “Starter for 10”. Made me think that he really is a versatile actor. Next to watch is “The Conspirator”. I love his accent – even though sometimes most of the times, I can’t understand what he’s actually saying. But still, I love his Irish/British English ever!

Anyway, for next months wallpaper, download it here. Cheers mate!

10 Things You Shouldn’t Do On Facebook

Just a warning to all of FB users out there. Beware and read along these important don’ts below. You’ll never know what FB can do to you – and your family. Trust me, I know!

1. Post About How Much You Hate Your Job

- It’s tempting to air out your grievances on Facebook, but remember your employer could be watching. Who on earth don’t have a Facebook account? I’m sure even CEO’s have their account and being handle by assistants, right?

2. Show That You Support Underage Drinking Through Your Pictures

The police are now scouting Facebook pictures for evidence of underage drinking, so before you post that fun night out, you might want to think twice.

3. Post Evidence That You Cheated On Your Significant Other

News flash: Divorce lawyers know how to use Facebook too. So imagine this as one of the evidence once you’re in the court with your ex? So be extra careful on this one folks.

4. Update Your Status While Robbing A House

If you’re going to do something illegal, it’s pretty obvious that you shouldn’t leave evidence – which also includes logging out of your Facebook profile if you so happened to check in while robbing a house. Had this thief not stopped to check his profile on his way out, he may have never been caught. Instead, now there’s irrefutable evidence he was in the victim’s home illegally.

5. Ask For Help So You Can Plagiarize

Asking people for what the homework assignment was on Facebook is fine, but when you start copying answers from posts on walls and groups it becomes plagiarism. (I guess these applies to teenagers).

6. Post Naked Pictures of Your Ex

If you’re angry at your ex, don’t take it out on them by posting private material shared between you two – and especially don’t post in on Facebook. (Exactly! Move on because doing this will just make things worst and will be a negative effect on you anyway).

7. Extort People Through Facebook

Extortion is always illegal, but doing it through Facebook leaves digital evidence that a criminal will find hard to erase.

8. Admit You Aren’t Going To Be Home For While

Burglars are now becoming tech savvy and checking Facebook to see if you are out of the house.(Facebook they say is the best way to have a stalker. So if you don’t want these to happen to you, be wise enough to write your where about).

9. Brag About All Your New, Expensive Items

Yeah, we know you want to tell all your friends about that cool new computer, iPad and iPod you got for your birthday, but remember there may be some disingenous people reading your Facebook update as well. (I guess it’s okay to brag about it, especially if it’s really worth it and you bought it by your own sweating money, but just be careful because you’ll never know the eyes of those envious people out there).

10. Admit To A Crime On Facebook

Admitting to a crime can get you in legal hot water. (Now, why on earth would you admit a crime over a hundreds of people who can read it? Duh!)

So, do you think you’ve done any of the above list? This is just a beware. All of us has it’s own points of views with regards to privacy and stuff to say in a social networking site like this. Just be responsible for your actions and the words that may affect other peoples lives. In other words, don’t be sira ulo! Hahaha! :D Check the rest of the side notes here.

Leme Leme App

And since I don’t have access to Instagram – and I think will never have the chance to access my favorite app for as long as we’re still here in SAR, might as well think of another iPhone app that has the same effects. I’ve had this app at the same time when I downloaded Instagram. I used it sometimes to edit photos from here, then will use Square Ready then straight to Instagram for sharing (yup! I’m that addicted to Instagram). I love the recent app update, less bugs and much faster than before. One thing I don’t like though, is that you can’t see a preview if you choose any of the lenses/effect. Here are some recent shots of my girls Julie & Julia. Big sister was the one who took the one on the lower left (Julie’s solo). She has an eye for photography.

I don’t have any followers yet. If you’re there, you know my usual username. I love that this app can be shared as well to Flickr, meaning an easy upload to my account. Weeee! I just hope that they don’t block this app in the future :(

The 5 Languages of Love

And this is what I get from taking the 15 minutes assessment from The 5 Languages of Love site.

The 5 Languges of Love

My fellow mommies are answering this when I checked some updates from them through Instagram. So I got curious and took the test as well. And I just wish now that Hubby’s here with me so that I can check his. I will have him take these test soon… till then, I have to wait…

Our highest score is Acts of Service and Physical Touch. Hmmm… he really does a lot to me make me feel comfortable. I never imagined that it’s already a sign of love. And even before, when we were still boyfriend and girlfriend, he asked me first if I’m comfortable with this or that. He’s my Matt Farell IRL.

Acts of Service
Can vacuuming the floors really be an expression of love? Absolutely! Anything you do to ease the burden of responsibilities weighing on an “Acts of Service” person will speak volumes. The words he or she most want to hear: “Let me do that for you.” Laziness, broken commitments, and making more work for them tell speakers of this language their feelings don’t matter.

Now it’s your turn to take the assessment.

PC Tablet For Her

A friend of mine who recently turned 32 was so happy because her husband gave her a Blackberry Playbook as a gift for her birthday. She was so happy that she even said that if being 32 is like this, she would have thought of advancing to the future for it, hahaha! I wished to have an iPad 2. Shall I wait till I reach 32 for it? Guess there will a new tablet by that year. Looking for the best pc tablet now a days is a hard thing to decide, since there’s a lot of competitive tablets in the market. Anyway, I’m so happy for my friend for having her dream gadget.

On The Road

SIL’s husband will be traveling back to Saudi soon. But we’re still looking for available flights, and the cheapest fare (somehow). After the Eid, prices for airline fare went up. I wonder if he’s considering traveling by land. SIL and I were having a chit chat the other day, she said that since most of her family likes to travel on the road, might as well invest for a moving RV. We laughed by the thought of it. But then we also need to consider the fact to have an available shop that can do rv repair too. Hmmm… and so, we decided to set aside those dreams for a while since right now, it’s impossible for us to have those for real. I wish him a good and safe journey back to Saudi.

I’m Still Here…

I know it’s been a while.

Unusual and unexpected things are happening around me right now. Family, friends and foes rolled into one big problem. But at the end of the day, I’m still blessed to have lovely and caring friends who will stand up beside you to ask “Hey… what’s going on?”, “Wazzup?” or simply will just say “We’re here… You’re not alone!”. Somehow, I still find myself lucky to have them in my life.

Oh God! Give me the strength to see light along this long dark tunnel we’re in. I lift it up to you. Your will be done. Amen.

Got to work for now. Life must go on. I suddenly wanted to read “Paradise” for the 3rd time. Meredith loves to ride ;) But I’m trying to finish reading “Perfect”. I’m such a slow reader. For now, I’m still here…

Nine Eleven

Today marks the 10th Year of the unmemorable tragedy in New York, the attack of the Twin towers. Where was I during that time?

I was at home watching a tv series. During the commercial break, I started shifting the channel randomly. The news was on. The first plane just hit one of the towers. We all got shocked of the news. All of us were focused about what just happened. We can’t believe that a plane will just crush into a building like that. Then the 2nd plane hit. I was trembling already. In my mind, I was thinking of all the people that were on the plane and was still inside the building. My dad said that the target was no other than the tower itself, and for sure terrorists are behind this vicous act. I remeber my mom crying for the loss of thousands of people. Then the towers collapse. That was the moment I started to shed tears. I couldn’t beleive what I was seeing over the TV. It felt like a cut right in the middle of my stomach. Who would do such a terrible thing? A person who don’t care at all will surely do this thing, I said to myself.

God knows everything. And who ever was behind this is dead already as we all know. The lives of people who was stolen that day will remain in God’s kingdom forever. Peace everyone!

I’m currently offline over all my social networking activities for personal reasons – security reasons. I will be back soon.

God Bless! Salam.

Couples Baby Shower

My high school classmate is pregnant for the 2nd time. She had a boy as her eldest, and we’re hoping to hear that her second will be a girl. I heard that they’ll be having a couples baby shower. It’s true, you don’t have to single out the mommy-to-be, so they are trying to have a unique and exciting event. Since most of our friends are married as well, they are inviting all who are engaged, married and just in a relationship. I referred her baby invitations for a stylish & trend party invitations. I hope they have a grand party.
