For Mothers in GCC

This is a long overdue post. As you may know, here in the GCC region, Mother’s day is being celebrated on the 21st of March. I’m lucky that as mother, I’m treasured twice in a year. Although of course, it’s automatic that we mothers should be special every day. It’s just that since I came from an Asian region, we’ll be celebrating Mother’s day on the month of May too. If you’re in the Western region, why not order special fruit baskets from Shari’s Berries for Mother’s Day? You still have a month to search for the best gift for our mothers.

For us here, we visited Hubby’s grand mother who was hospitalized last month. My MIL baked Béchamel and prepared sweets like crème caramel and jelly too. Hubby and I bought cake. Julia ate :D

Our Baby is 28 Weeks

How your baby’s growing:
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She’s also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

28 Weeks

How Am I Feeling?
I feel heavy and full. My tummy’s big now. I can feel a lot of kicks from baby Julie every now and then, most especially if she’s hungry. And at the night, I need to place a pillow on my sides to make me feel comfortable. I’ve been sleeping with 2 pillows on my head, but now, I need to be a little bit higher than the usual. It’s the last trimester of my pregnancy. I’m scared to be honest. I’m praying that I’ll give birth naturally – I mean not on CS. I asked hubby that we need to take a glucose screening test soon. Last month, I made a sugar and blood test – everything is fine except for my calcium. It’s a little bit low so the doctor prescribed a medicine for me to drink once a day and advised me to eat cheese or drink milk. I hope the next test, everything will be normal again.

I can’t wait to see what Julie will look like. All of us are anxious to see her. We’ll be getting Julia’s baby clothes next month too. I need to check what are the things I need to buy before giving birth.

Another Expiring Domain

My meme blog will be expiring by next month. Good thing that Google emailed me since they were trying to renew it automatically over my credit card. But my CC is no longer active so they failed to take the amount needed to renew my domain. It was a coincidence as well since my latest reviews was about seo link vine. That’s why I suddenly remember to about this blog.

Anyway, I will try to catch up with renewing my domain within this week. Kerslyn to the rescue transferring it to WordPress. Thank you sissy! :)

And here’s the continuation of my previous post. I had to publish it before WLW went down again on me. Better to be sure.

Day 79 – Here’s Julia showing off a big smile. Happy with her new writing board.
Day 80 – Two thumbs up from the big sister.
Day 81 – And here’s a photo of the cake for Mother’s Day for the GCC region.
Day 82 – Just a little fun with how they write down “Milk Chik” here. It’s actually “Milk Shake” :D
Day 83 – Julia and her cousins waiting for SIL to arrive from the airport.
Day 84 – Wake up sleepy head. She just woke up when I took this picture.

Day 85

And finally, Day 85 – this was grabbed from one of my Flickr albums when we treat MIL for a late Mother’s Day celebration at Swiss House Restaurant. My little girl’s growing up so fast. Time flies so fast.

Now it’s time to update my overdue post for the 365 days project. Sorry it took me a long time to post it here. I had to configure how to share photos from Instagram to Flickr. Clicking the image will bring you to the set where I posted all of images.

365/67-76

Day 67 – Julia’s bed marks on her face. It’s funny house babies and toddlers sleep. A friend said that probably she fell into a deep sleep that’s why she woke up with these marks. I’m so glad she did. Well, if so I’m so glad she did.
Day 68 – Banana Crepe made my SIL with lots of love.
Day 69 – Julia and her cousins, Yara and Yazan.
Day 70 – Me at 26 weeks with lots of peanuts on my side.
Day 71 – Look at who has an eye for Julia?
Day 72 – Another set of banana crepe from SIL. This time custard inside.
Day 73 – Peanut overload.
Day 74 – Bored Julia.
Day 75 – Krispy Crème for breakfast when we arrived in Beirut.
Day 76 – Me and my crave for McDonalds – a dream come true, finally!
Day 77 – M&M’s addiction. Counting down 94 days to go.
Day 78 – When Instagram made their recent update, me and my friends over Twitter got addicted with the Tilt+Shift features of it. It made it look like it’s a shot from a DSLR camera. Cool right? We heart Instagram.

Advance Housewarming Gift

SIL gave us in advance her housewarming gift for us. We have a new LG 42” TV. Yehey! We’re currently using it now. Why this gift? Because last month, SIL’s youngest son accidentally broke the LCD of our Benq flat screen TV. SIL insisted to buy a new one instead of repairing the current one we have. She’ll take the old TV though and will try to have it fix if possible. I wonder who will give us an lg home theatre system to pair for the ones we have right now? Hmmm…

SIL’s Back

SIL’s back from a short trip from Dubai. She visited her husband for a 5 days trip and to check out places as well. We’re all glad she had a great trip and had a safe journey too. I asked her if she can check out some tech jobs for me and my husband over there. We’re still crossing our fingers and praying for hope and light on this subject. Insha Allah, God’s will – opportunity can knock over for us over Dubai – if not, even somewhere else. For as long as it’s the will of God.
