This is a long overdue post. As you may know, here in the GCC region, Mother’s day is being celebrated on the 21st of March. I’m lucky that as mother, I’m treasured twice in a year. Although of course, it’s automatic that we mothers should be special every day. It’s just that since I came from an Asian region, we’ll be celebrating Mother’s day on the month of May too. If you’re in the Western region, why not order special fruit baskets from Shari’s Berries for Mother’s Day? You still have a month to search for the best gift for our mothers.
For us here, we visited Hubby’s grand mother who was hospitalized last month. My MIL baked Béchamel and prepared sweets like crème caramel and jelly too. Hubby and I bought cake. Julia ate
How your baby’s growing: By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She’s also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.
How Am I Feeling? I feel heavy and full. My tummy’s big now. I can feel a lot of kicks from baby Julie every now and then, most especially if she’s hungry. And at the night, I need to place a pillow on my sides to make me feel comfortable. I’ve been sleeping with 2 pillows on my head, but now, I need to be a little bit higher than the usual. It’s the last trimester of my pregnancy. I’m scared to be honest. I’m praying that I’ll give birth naturally – I mean not on CS. I asked hubby that we need to take a glucose screening test soon. Last month, I made a sugar and blood test – everything is fine except for my calcium. It’s a little bit low so the doctor prescribed a medicine for me to drink once a day and advised me to eat cheese or drink milk. I hope the next test, everything will be normal again.
I can’t wait to see what Julie will look like. All of us are anxious to see her. We’ll be getting Julia’s baby clothes next month too. I need to check what are the things I need to buy before giving birth.
My meme blog will be expiring by next month. Good thing that Google emailed me since they were trying to renew it automatically over my credit card. But my CC is no longer active so they failed to take the amount needed to renew my domain. It was a coincidence as well since my latest reviews was about seo link vine. That’s why I suddenly remember to about this blog.
Anyway, I will try to catch up with renewing my domain within this week. Kerslyn to the rescue transferring it to WordPress. Thank you sissy!
And here’s the continuation of my previous post. I had to publish it before WLW went down again on me. Better to be sure.
Day 79 – Here’s Julia showing off a big smile. Happy with her new writing board. Day 80 – Two thumbs up from the big sister. Day 81 – And here’s a photo of the cake for Mother’s Day for the GCC region. Day 82 – Just a little fun with how they write down “Milk Chik” here. It’s actually “Milk Shake” Day 83 – Julia and her cousins waiting for SIL to arrive from the airport. Day 84 – Wake up sleepy head. She just woke up when I took this picture.
And finally, Day 85 – this was grabbed from one of my Flickr albums when we treat MIL for a late Mother’s Day celebration at Swiss House Restaurant. My little girl’s growing up so fast. Time flies so fast.
Now it’s time to update my overdue post for the 365 days project. Sorry it took me a long time to post it here. I had to configure how to share photos from Instagram to Flickr. Clicking the image will bring you to the set where I posted all of images.
Day 67 – Julia’s bed marks on her face. It’s funny house babies and toddlers sleep. A friend said that probably she fell into a deep sleep that’s why she woke up with these marks. I’m so glad she did. Well, if so I’m so glad she did. Day 68 – Banana Crepe made my SIL with lots of love. Day 69 – Julia and her cousins, Yara and Yazan. Day 70 – Me at 26 weeks with lots of peanuts on my side. Day 71 – Look at who has an eye for Julia? Day 72 – Another set of banana crepe from SIL. This time custard inside. Day 73 – Peanut overload. Day 74 – Bored Julia. Day 75 – Krispy Crème for breakfast when we arrived in Beirut. Day 76 – Me and my crave for McDonalds – a dream come true, finally! Day 77 – M&M’s addiction. Counting down 94 days to go. Day 78 – When Instagram made their recent update, me and my friends over Twitter got addicted with the Tilt+Shift features of it. It made it look like it’s a shot from a DSLR camera. Cool right? We heart Instagram.
SIL gave us in advance her housewarming gift for us. We have a new LG 42” TV. Yehey! We’re currently using it now. Why this gift? Because last month, SIL’s youngest son accidentally broke the LCD of our Benq flat screen TV. SIL insisted to buy a new one instead of repairing the current one we have. She’ll take the old TV though and will try to have it fix if possible. I wonder who will give us an lg home theatre system to pair for the ones we have right now? Hmmm…
SIL’s back from a short trip from Dubai. She visited her husband for a 5 days trip and to check out places as well. We’re all glad she had a great trip and had a safe journey too. I asked her if she can check out some tech jobs for me and my husband over there. We’re still crossing our fingers and praying for hope and light on this subject. Insha Allah, God’s will – opportunity can knock over for us over Dubai – if not, even somewhere else. For as long as it’s the will of God.
Thanks to fellow Twitter Mommy Kaje for lending me these e-books. I’m currently reading “Something Borrowed” right now using my iPhone. I’m totally blind after reading a few pages but I don’t care. I love the trailer of the movie so I’m sure I’ll love the book too. Just what happen to me with “Twilight Saga” 2 years ago. Got addicted to it, that I have to make a reservation for each part. Virgin Megastore was kind enough to call back every time the book is available.
I don’t read much, but once a book is recommended, curiosity strikes. Sometimes the book is much better than the movie itself. Of course because in the movie, apparently they have to cut certain scenes to make the movie length shorter. So I find the book more detailed.
I can’t wait to finish the first edition of Emily Giffin’s collection. To watch the movie? I’m not sure if I can. That’s why for now, let’s all read on.
It’s another week back home. And it’s another Monday for us here. I pray and hope that whatever it is that bothers most of us right now may have inner peace and hope for a brighter future.
There’s an ongoing protest where I’m currently at right now. Insha Allah, it will not affect the main city where we leave. May God Allah be with us always. I know that democracy is a must, but no one should suffer just to get hold of it. Please pray for our world.
Here’s a simple thing to share with you. I believe we all need a sunny happiness everyday.
Well, all of us over Twitter are all now addicted with one of Apple’s top application, which is “Instagram”. As you may all know, I’m using this app to complete my 365 days project. And I’m really glad that I’ve chose this application to comply with this year’s project. Though sometimes I’m using Hipstamatic too – but it depends on my mood, and it depends on the subject. It’s really easier for me to make sure that I’m updated.
Aside from the different filters it offers, there’s a new update with it which is the “tilt+shift” option which creates a slight bokeh shot effect for the photo. Some of us say that it’s the new Flickr on our group. We love leaving each other comments and liking each ones photos. It’s funny how we adore each other’s photos over Instagram. And aside from that, we go over Flickr and view it there too. Isn’t it ironic?
Try to download it, and I bet you’ll keep your photos up like me which now runs up to 103 with 23 followers and following 22.
Just something to share with you when we went traveled the other day to Lebanon. The view was extravagant. Some of the mountain tops still has snow, but it’s about to melt since we’re expecting spring soon. This was taken using my mobile phone only. I just tweaked the colors in PS though just to lighten up the color
I played this movie twice in just 1 day. That’s how good the movie was. I was supposed to play Elmo’s World DVD for my little one, but when I played the movie, it was all different at the start. I guess the CD was swapped with my SIL’s DVD list when we went to her house the other week. But my little one was quiet so I decided to just play with it. And it got me hooked up too. I laid on the bed beside Julia and I found myself giggling from it. The humor that Flynn played was so hilarious that it made me watched the movie again before sleeping. I kept of laughing whenever the horse fight back at Flynn. Julia was telling me “Mama you keyzy? (crazy)”
I totally forgot the story of Rapunzel. All I know is that she was prisoned in the tower and was saved by a Prince. But I didn’t know that it was her step-mom who locked her in. What I love most about Tangled is the love story that grows between Rapunzel and Flynn. And with most fairy tale stories, the Prince or the good guy doesn’t say much unlike Flynn who was with Rapunzel all along. So it made the story more interesting.
It made me cry twice as well. Yeah, that’s how pregnant woman is – emotionally devoted with what they see.
I’m voting for Rapunzel to be one of the Disney Princesses.
Saw a blog post from Chikai and it made me feel good about myself. So I’m re-posting what she just said since I’m proud to be a Mommy too.
Uh yes, I work 24 hours a day. Why? Because I am a Mommy! That makes me an alarm clock, a cook, a maid, a teacher, a nanny, a nurse, a handyman, a security officer, a photographer, a counselor, a chauffeur, an ATM, a jungle gym & a comforter. I don’t get holidays, sick pay or days off. I work through the DAY & NIGHT. I am on call at ALL hours. Re-post if you are a proud Mommy ♥
