Lack of Sleep

I don’t know why but it’s been a week that I’m experiencing sleepless nights. I don’t have any problems lying down the bed, but my thoughts are wide awake when I’m about to sleep. I’m thinking probably because of me being pregnant or simply because I’m thinking too much of things I wanted to do.

I have a pimple right now on my right cheek. I’m afraid that it’ll leave a dark spot again :( For now I’m trying to find the best and effective eyesential that I can use. I don’t want to end up so tired after giving birth.

Conversation #1

I’ve been wanting to write about this type of conversations with my toddler soon to be big big sister, but I always forgot about it whenever I’ll start to write a post. I have a friend online who advised me to note on this simples conversation between our toddlers, so that we can always back read at the memories this has left us.

Hubby’s away and will be back tomorrow afternoon. This morning, while I was combing my hair, Julia woke up with a smile as usual. Here’s where the talks came in.

ME: Good morning Mama! How’s your sleep?
JULIA: Good moning Mama… howa you?
ME: I’m fine…
JULIA: (pointing at her diaper) Mama oh, it’s wet :(
ME: Wawa… Okay, stand up we’ll change your diaper na.
JULIA: Okay mama… thank you mama (and gave me a kiss and hug… awww…)
ME: You’re welcome.
***while changing her up, I asked her then about her Papa***
ME: Where is Papa Julia?
JULIA: Where is Papi?
ME: I’m asking you then you’ll ask me?
JULIA: Papa go bye-bye…
ME: Bye-bye? Where did he go?
JULIA: Papa in the ship…
ME: In the ship? What ship?
JULIA: Papa go with Barney and uhm… and uhm… there oh… (pointing at the door)
ME: Ah I see… Papa went to Beirut Mama not in the ship.
JULIA: Papa go Beirrrrruuuutttt (at this point she was actually pouting her lips as if she’s in an Opera house singing, LOL! :D)
ME: HAHAHA! Okay fine. Yallah let’s go out and say good morning to Tete (grandma in Arabic)
JULIA: Yallah na… bye bye pullow (pillow), ay lav you.

Sigh… Everyday she amazes us with all the things that she can do and say. One thing I noticed about Julia is that she loves to sing and dance. I wish I could record her favorite song. There’s this app on my iPhone which she always play with. It’s called “Juno”. And she loves her songs especially the song about Teddy who was missing.

Oh dear Julia, you’ll be a great sister for sure. I can see you singing lullabies for Julie. We love you dearest.

Our Baby is 22 Weeks

How your baby’s growing:

At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he’s even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you’d be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he’ll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

How Am I Feeling?

I’m feeling much better compare to the last months. I’m eating well and I’m getting lots of movements from baby Julie every night too. Right now I sleep on my sides. I can’t sleep straight on my back. I feel bloated already. My tummy’s so itchy every morning. Needs to put lotion every now and then to avoid scratching it too. My eyes however still has those dark areas under my eyelids. Cause of lack of sleep I guess. Well, I’m happy that we’re almost half way seeing our little Julie. Can’t wait to see her.

Free February Desktop

I know it’s the middle of the month, but 2 days from now it’ll be Valentines Day. A special day for couples to celebrate love this year. Go ahead and download here from the Shabby Shoppe Blog.

Here’s my desktop right now. I asked Hubby if I can change the wallpaper first since most of the time he want it plain blue so that he can see what’s in the desktop. But I have to change it. This will remind me to look over my scrapping kit – just in case I forget.

3 photos from our Bludan trip last month. Isn’t it nice to have treasured moments like this? Julia’s getting bigger now. Getting ready to be a big sister for Julie. Can’t wait to see how Julie will look like. May God Allah save them both for us.

Scrapping Mojo

Mojo visited me last week. The internet was down for a day. I can’t think of anything to do aside from playing Ranch Rush 2. I’m in the last stage (I think) and it’s giving me a headache to complete the task. I failed twice already. Ugh!

I decided to organize instead my EHD albums. I came across my digital scrapbooking freebies. So I decided to scrap. Below are my layouts for the start of this year 2011. Credits are over my flickr account.

LO25 - Say Cheese
LO26 - Big Ben

It took me a while to think if I need to scrap something about our London visit. But so far, the above one is the first. Photobook for UK visit? Hmmm… we’ll see about that.

Missing Screw

I just blogged the other day that BIL has a new frame for his eyeglasses. Well, there was a jinx roaming around. Hubby’s sun glasses got broken. One of the screws are missing. We have to take it to the optical shop to have it repair or buy a new cheap eyewear if Hubby finds a good design. We should do this within this week. Summer is just 2 months away and we don’t want to have problems during our journey in the day by then.

Ideal Camera

Wouldn’t it be nice to own a fuji digital cameras which you can use easily in times of special occasions? Well, we have a wedding to attend this evening. I will not take my dslr with me since it’s heavy for me to use now.

I wish as well to take photos on the wedding, but it’s actually forbidden to take a camera inside the hall. I miss taking photos. I miss the zoom in zoom out, haha! :D I wish to go outdoors and take wonderful views of Syria. But it’s really too cold for us now to go around. In a few months from now, summer will be here. Can’t wait for it.

Freedom for Egypt

I was doing some task while my in-laws watch live TV coverage about Egypt’s situation right now. When suddenly my sister jumped out for joy. I needed to wait for her to translate what was the commotion on the TV is about.  She told me that the Hosni Mubarak, the President of Egypt has finally stepped down and right now Military officials takes over the cabinet for the mean time. It was a big success for all Egyptians. They protested in the streets for almost 18 days asking the President to stepped down. A 30 years of presidency under Mubarak was really too much for them. Aside from alleged corruption from his family, there’s a lot of people against his decisions already. Someone has to do something to stop it and a people power is needed. I remember the time when Philippines had to do this to kick the President off the palace. Edsa People 1 and 2 was a success.

I congratulate all Egyptians for their success and eagerness to stay that long in the Al-Taharir (meaning Liberation or freedom) square in Cairo. Mabrouk to you all and may this the start of a new beginning to your country.

Legal Advice

Have you ever heard of Accutane? I was reading on some news about people who got infected of it and right now suffering with inadequate support from the people liable for it. A lot of them already seek advice from their lawyers and raised proper Accuntane Lawsuit already. I was curious on this case and I found out that Accutane is a result of a serious injuries such as Crohn’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and ulcerative colitis. These causes a big effect on the colon and other digestive parts of our body. So be aware and go make a physical check up with it. You can still have the chance to file a proper lawsuit against the people or manufacturer of Accutane.

Back to Work for FIL

So long farewell, I need to say adieu…. to you and you, and you and you and you…

~Sound of Music

This morning my dearest father-in-law went back to Saudi again. We’ll surely miss him and a 100% sure that Julia will miss his Jeddo (“grandfather” in Arabic) as well. Papa is used to playing with Julia every morning. Every time I wake up, he would teased me and say “Marmura, how are you?” – yeah, he’s the only one calling me by this nick name. I’ll miss his routine everyday. I will wake up seeing him just arrived from an errands outside with Hubby, while Mama preparing as usual a delicious and healthy lunch for all us. He will give tons of kisses to Julia’s forehead and lots of hugs then he’ll give me this gentle smile and will say “Good morning Marmura! How are you feeling today?”, then I’ll reply “I’m fine Papa, Alhamdulillah Thanks God”. It was like a habit doing this every morning. I feel sorry for Mama for being left behind. She opt to stay with us here and in time, she’ll follow Papa to Saudi as well.

Papa and Mama (MIL) has the kindest & cleanest heart I’ve ever met in my life (aside from parents of course). I may say that I’m one of the lucky girls out there who gets along very well with their family-in-laws. It’s one in a million as they say. I thank God Allah for being a part of their family. Alhadmulillah. Masha’Allah.

New Home

I’m currently in my new home now. I welcome myself finally to WordPress. A big thanks to Kerslyn for keeping up with me through all of the transfer process. I’ve been a such a pain asking too much technical stuff hahaha! I’m getting the hang of WordPress dashboard and tweaking codes using CSS. However, there are still some floating questions in my head that I would like to explore more. But for now, I’m happy with the outcome of it.

Imagine that it took me almost 3 hours to fix the header of this theme? And almost an hour looking for the problem with my side bar since it was all messed up last night. I found out that my mischievous toddler was able to tweak out some codes over one of the widgets adding </div> on one of it. Wow! I was thankful that I was able to fix it before the internet went down last night as well.

Anyway, I need to do some stuff for now. Looking for some vintage hardware as a gift for tonight’s wedding. The cousin of my husband’s SIL invited me and my mother-in-law together with my 2 SIL on her wedding. What a bloated guest I am. Got to go some errands for now. Be back later for more updates.
