Om Julia

Guess what? I found a new place to blog. No, I’m not leaving blogspot. That will be the 2nd time just in case, hehehe! I just found a new place to write some part of my life – a part where I can write in another way, Taglish, hehehe!

I run through i.ph a couple of months ago when I was thinking where I can create a new blog – that was last September when I left WordPress. I created an account already but didn’t finished with the registration coz I found it very slow to upload. If you’re just into writing and not interested to post any pictures on your entry, try i.ph. So slow lang kasi siya talaga kaya nakakainis. I’m thinking to transfer all tags/memes entries on that blog – I’ll think about it again, coz even publishing entries takes I think minimum 30seconds. Panira eh noh? Bakit pa ako nag blog dun kung puro reklamo lang din? hehehe! The reason is, I love their themes, hehehe! So simple and very neat.

Anyways, leave links and messages for me there ha? See you there ;) omjulia

A Date with the Cullens

When you can live forever, what do you live for?

Finally Finally and another Finally!

We reserved sits for Twilight last 28th of December at 630pm. Umpisa pa lang, super excited na ako. Hubby was not that excited at all since he doesn’t have any single idea on what the movie was all about. Mohammad and lovers Wael and Soumaya joined us. Good thing Hubby’s boyfriends were around, coz at least I know that just in case he gets bored with the movie, there’s someone beside him that he can talk to, hehehe! Naninigurado =)

My ratings? 10 STARS! Love the script, love the rainy effects of the place. Everything’s just fit into the story and of course, I love and so much adore Bella and Edward. Like what a critic said “The most epic romance since Titanic…” – very well said. So so so love the movie. Nakaka-inlove sa wala and yes, sobrang sarap ulit ulitin. Umpisa pa lang ng movie, na-iinlove na ako.

So love the scene where Edward invites Bella to eat lunch with his family and then Bella asked “What if they don’t like me?” and then Edward replied “You’ll be surrounded with Vampires and you’re thinking if they will like you?” – something to that effect, hehehe! Basta parang ganun yung sinabi nya… I can still upto now Edwards breath este the kilabot moments.

Another part that I love was when the 3 bad vampires (parang bata yung term, hehehe!) start to summon the Cullens when they were playing baseball. Shocks! Super protective ng family ni Edward just to save Bella. Omg to the max! Hay naku nagiging OA na ako ha! But really, in reality super sarap ng feeling diba na your FIL are willing to fight for your safety?

What else I will not forget? Umm… ah the time where Bella got so frustrated when Edward advised her to move to another place with her Mom – the hospital bed scene, then Bella started to be so OA by saying “No… No… No…” – and here I am again, another OMG! “Where else shall I go?” sweet reply by Edward.

28122008(001)Hay naku! Naduduling na ko sa wala. When I got home, was able to chat with OL Sis Shey and she referred me to sites where I can purchased OL the Twilight Saga with hardbound cover. Unfortunately, the sites are not allowed shipped it here in Qatar since if I’m not mistaken – I was just told by this, that Amazon or eBay don’t shipped products unless the PO is American company or whatever lalo na pag Middle East. So, I guess I have to contact a friend of mine who can get the goods for me. Gastos ito, pero what to do? Once in a lifetime experience ito, and just in case – these 4 books will be my 1st book collection and I’m planning to collect the DVD of these once it’s available.

Pang HS ang dating, pero what the heck – I love the story! I look stupid in the photo noh? Pinag titinginan nga ako when I asked Hubby to take a picture of me eh, hehe! Keber! Kanya-kanyang addiction ‘to! Like what Edward said “…my type of heroine”

Santa Lap Experience

santa1 Celebrating Christmas here in the Middle East is not that the same like living in the United States or Canada or any country where you can see people impersonating Santa Clause. Well, a friend of mine whose currently residing right now in Canada where able to take her first Santa Lap Experience together with her Baby DL. I’m sure she had a great time for it.

I grabbed this photo of her together with her Husband and 11mos old Baby. Thanks Terette!

She said that it was a great experience for her and for Baby DL. The helpers of Santa, famous Elves made DL smiled. They did a great job for this one.

Well, it’s not too late for you online friends living in the United States to have this once a year adventure with Santa coz I saw this site where they can give you your first Santa Lap Experience and even lets you create your online Santa Lap Video with the powerful uniqueness of the CEIVA Digital Photo Frame. Oh how I wish I can order such frames. Just a simple souvenir for the year 2008. On the said link you can wish something and even get the chance of winning coz there will be 1 random entry selected for each day of the contest; cash prize of $500 per winner.

I might as well got a wish come true, I made a screen shot with Santa, hehehe!santa

Starlink Christmas Party 2008

xmasBallsHi everyone! How’s your Christmas celebration? I’ve been checking some of my OL buddies’ blog but seems that they’re still collecting photos of the celebration. No one is updating as of this time. Nabibitin tuloy ako, excited na ako to see what’s up with you mga ate’s ko.

Hubby and I are Muslims so we’re not celebrating the Christmas however me being a Filipino, it’s a tradition already for my family to celebrate and simply get together eating dinner back home. My parents are Christians anyway. Mom’s here with us so we need to make her feel like it’s Christmas here in Qatar as well – para di ma homesick ata baka umiyak na naman si Mudra. For me, it’s not about the religion, it’s about how you get together once a year showing your love thru giving gifts. Besides, it’s the season to be with your family and enjoy the spirit of the holidays.

We were invited over to join our Christmas Party for our company together with our dear friends. The party of course started late since most of the staffs are working late upto 10pm. Our Customer Service work late as well up to 12mn so the game didn’t start with out them – naks! Though we ate already since most of us are starving already.

Thanks to the bright ideas of kuya Angelo and Lyn, the party was as a success. Not that exciting like last year though. Last year, all flat (room) prepared a dance presentation and I guess last year we were more/many compare to this year’s party. A lot of our colleagues left already. Kuya Giovanni decided to continue his uncles’ business back home, kuya Ruel rended his resignation and same to ate Verna who continued her career in Oman. The big boss have bigger plans for next year, so we’re hoping to have more staffs as well and I’m keeping my fingers cross that we’ll have a successful launch to the new workshops that we’ll open in the future.

Anyways, we ate dinner of course. They prepared the all time famous Pansit, Mechado, Cheese sticks {shucks! konti lang nakain ko nito}, Filipino Rice, Beef Steak and Fried Chicken.

Then we played games starting from HepHep Hooray, Banana Eating contest and lastly BINGO! And for the jackpot round of Bingo, the 1st Prize is a 21” TV – oh diba, bonggang bonga!

Here are tons of pictures to share.

WARNING: Photo Overload!

PhotoHunt { Wide }

photohunter

Was kind a late for this week’s entry because I was searching for my files to grab the great photo for this entry. I was looking over pictures way back 2007. I’m trying to have only 1 entry for each hunt – stopping myself not to post the other photo, hehehe!

ph-wide

Wide – Open!

This is Hubby and his neice Yara playing around when we visited them at their house during our vacation in Damascus Syria last September 2007. Yara is the eldest daughter of Hubby’s sister ate Rana. I love this moment when they were both playing around. Yara copied what his Khalo {Uncle} Abed was doing, hehehe! Yara looks like Hubby actually. They have the same eye color, eyebrows and nose. So I think when Bb Julia will grow up, she will be like her cousin Yara but different eye color. How I miss this girl. We’ll see them next year for our next vacation Insha’Allah {God willing}.

Until next PhotoHunt.

Black Out

I woke up seeing hubby playing with Bb Julia instead of the usual thing he do every morning which is sitting in front of his PC checking his emails and browsing the internet. He then told me that our electricity is currently down. I said to myself “NAPUTULAN TAYO NG KURYENTE?!” – he then laugh out loud and explained that there are workers outside that are fixing something on the street and that they need to shut off the power which affects 3 villas – and we’re so unfortunate that we’re 1 of them, sniff! :(

It’s hubby’s off – so bad luck to him! He kept on walking around the house, scratching his hair and then will sit on the sofa because of boredom. Too bad for hubby. So we took some shots instead with our Niknok and played around with it.

darksweetyHere’s the hubby holding a light. I asked him to do a shot for me but unfortunately he can’t make it too dark or I guess I’m just too pangit in the picture kaya the result is not the same like his. Feel na feel ng lolo nyo magpa-picture, talaga nga naman oh!

Here is our center piece. So dramatic noh? Imagine Middle East where Gas and Oil are being produced is out of electricity? My litle Camel – naku dami dito nyan!

And finally my master piece. I’m leaving you with this light to guide your way for the coming Christmas day. Merry Christmas everyone!candlelight

Qatar National Day

18th of December is Qatar’s National Day. It’s an official holiday for all. We were supposed to visit The Pearl again but the weather was around 16 degrees C already and it will be too cold for Bb Julia. We don’t like to take the risk for she might get cold again.

I was watching TV when I heard like thundering sound outside. I asked hubby if it was raining, he looked out the window and said that it was not raining and that it was just my imagination and a side effect of being at home for almost 2 months already. Jologs! Ako na naman pinag tripan ni mokong. Then his phone rang and it was Mohammad a dear friend of ours {God Father ni Bb Julia} saying to look outside coz there’s a firework display. Hayun! Kaya pala may kumukulog! It lightened me up knowing na di pa pala ako baliw, hahaha! Totoo ngang may naririnig ako, hahaha!

I took some pictures using my new lenses. It was too difficult to take a good shot since my hands were freezing cold, hahaha! Pasmado pa ako, bwahaha! qday2

The sky was suddenly full of smoke and lights all over the West Bay Area also known as the Corniche. We’re leaving on the 3rd floor – rooftop so we got the chance to see that memorable night for all the Qataris. Happy Independence day to Qatar!qday1

Another Doll

A few days ago I asked hubby to take us to Carrefour since I need to buy a new pair of shoes. I found out that I don’t have anymore doll shoes which can pair with clothes, sensya na maldita ako pagdating sa mga shoes. I have I think 3 or 4 pairs of shoes that I left in the Philippines when we were on vacation. My pamangkin and I unfortunately have the same size so instead of buying her new ones, she took all of them. PUP wears civilian clothes so pahirapan sa damit si pamangkin who will (Thank God) graduate next school year. I gave away some doll shoes also for charity last October. Hubby insisted on giving them rather than bulukin ko daw sa shoe rack, hehehe! Ok fine!

For only $11 I was able to purchased this Lady Court Doll Shoe in Carrefour. Wanted to buy another color with same design but in Pink but good thing I suddenly snapped back into reality that life is not the same like before where in I can buy anything I like. Need to think about the PRIORITIES first before the so called LUHO IN LIFE. By the way, pasensya na kayo sa mga veins sa feet ko. I was on an indian sit kasi before I took this photo. Nag-crumps nga yung legs ko eh, hehehe!doll1doll2

Anyway highway, Bb Julia’s 1month and 1week now. I took some pictures yesterday before leaving the house. She’s growing up looking exactly like me – echos! Honestly, I really don’t know now who she looks like. I think she have my eyes, somehow. Whatever, I’m thankful that she’s getting chubby now and hubby loves her cheeks so much! I’m trying though to stop him kissing him on the cheeks kasi nag kaka-rushes si Bb Li eh. Kawawa naman… but sometimes, hubby’s making nakaw halik that’s without me looking of course, hehehe! Who can resist kissing this little treasure kasi?

Masha’Allah! May Allah (God) always save her for us.bbjulia1

“Next Attraction: TWILIGHT”

Finally! Been waiting for this for a long time. I thought it will not be shown here in Qatar. Yesterday, we went to City Center Mall here in Doha to find something to buy from MANGO store since we heard that they are on sale upto 40%. Was able to buy another bag from a selling price of $27 down to $16. Another bad habit of mine, I have 2 of the same model now but different color. The one that I have before was black and now I bought violet – hahaha!mngbag

Anyways, we found out that Twilight will be shown by next week. Weew! So it’s a date! The problem now is who will look over Bb Julia while I go out with my girlfriends? Hahaha! I’ll cross the road when I get there, for the meantime I’ll keep this booklet with me as a souvenir for one to the most anticipated movie of the year.

Never been so excited like this since Lord of the Rings – Return of the King.
