Pregnancy at 38wks

I’m on my 9th month! Yehey!

Finally on the last term of my pregnancy. Can’t wait to see, hug and finally kiss Baby Julia. I’m all geared up ready for the big day. Like the song “All my bags are packed and I’m ready to go…” – hehehe!

All things Baby Julia needs are ready since last month. Thanks to all my friends who sponsored for it. Just like to take this opportunity to thank and name each:
  • Hubby’s Gift – GRACO Crib/Playpen – maliit lang yan. Enough space to fit inside our cozy room, hehe! Ako pumili nyan kaya cute.

  • Mohammad – GRACO Stroller

  • Emily, Joana and Joy – Safety 1st Tub
  • Ahmad – CHICCO Bottle Sterilizer

  • Maricel – Baby Shop’s Baby Bouncer {didn’t take a picture of it yet since it’s still inside the box}

There are other gifts but Blogger’s givin up on me again uploading photos + the fact that I’m currently using WIFI connection – our DSL is still not yet set up as we speak.

Well, for the mean time – I’ll just keep on waiting for now until the big day comes. Please pray that I will have a safe, fast and normal delivery.

Thanks all for the support and love and everything in between.

Question of the Week#37

Here we are again for the random QOTW from Ms Yen. I had fun answering these weeks question. So challenging.

If you’re joining:
+ try to leave some love to other participants! Specially to the one up above you!
+ A link back to this post or to this blog would be appreciated.

1. What does whispering make you think of?

  • It depends on the situation syempre. Pero never the less, I don’t care. Magbulungan kayo as long as you want. Makikipagbulungan din ako sa iba, hehehe!

2 What kinds of current women’s clothing styles do you dislike the most?

  • Clothes that will loose ones’ respect. Minsan kasi nasa babae rin yung problema eh. If they don’t want to be looked at and be harassed so wag sila magdamit ng di maganda diba?

3. What is your greatest extravagance?

  • Ang hirap naman ng tanong Ms Yen, hehehe!

4. Do you have a good luck charm? What is it?

  • I believe that luck is within God’s decision so I don’t have any.

5. Fill in the blank: “Without ___ I am nothing.”

  • “Without ALLAH {the most gracious and merciful} I am nothing.”

6. How do you react when you find out that your closest friend dated your ex?

  • Ex means past right? We were not meant to be for some reasons so I guess move on Girl, hahaha!

7. Do your heart and your mind ever disagree?

  • Yup. Especially if I’m using my stupidity, hahaha!

8. In what areas of your life are you uncompromisable?

  • Everything around me that matters most like family & personal feelings.

9. Have you ever gossiped about other people in order to add excitement to your own life only for it to back-fire on you ?

  • There’s a saying “Don’t do to unto others what you don’t want others do unto you…” pero kung ako ang pinag uusapan nila “GOD BLESS YOU!” hahaha!

10. I am___________________.

  • I am pregnant and so anxious to see Baby Julia.

Have fun and enjoy! Don’t forget to comment to the person above you or to other participants.

A lot of you of course are familiar with this ever famous links. Thru this links, people are able to keep in touch with each other. Believe it or not, I was able to find my classmates in elementary days thru Friendster – isn’t that cool? and I’m so happy to see updates from them especially on how they look now – how they’ve aged actually, hahaha! Most of them have their own families already and living abroad. Some are still enjoying their single life working successfully and the others are living their lives normally, like me. Meaning di pa milyonarya’t milyonaryo.

I’ve been a Friendster member since September 2003. Shucks! It’s been 5 years of connecting with friends/family/schoolmates/colleagues name it all. And how many friends I have right now? 590! I deleted some accounts actually. Because when I checked my friends’ list the other week I noticed that I’m connected with friends na hindi ko naman talaga kilala as in. Some of the accounts are work accounts w/c is no longer active so I deleted it too. Some naman I hate lang or to make it simple: di ko lang feel {joke!} so I deleted it as well – you know who you are! bwahahaha! {malidata blues again, keber!}

The good thing about Friendster is that I can always play around with my profile. Too bad late na sila magupdate ng Blog nila, probably I have an account with them siguro. Adding music and stuff makes the profile more interesting pa. Not to forget mentioning the 200 albums and unlimited photos that you can upload – winner! I have an account though with Multiply pero more on photos lang talaga yung account na yun. Although recently, I linked some of my tags/memes post from Blogger to Multiply – wala lang, trip ko lang, hehehe!

I’m happy logging into my friendster account every now and then. Waiting for some messages from long found friends and syempre mag upload ng pictures to be treasured.

Facebook on the other hand are okay. I’ve just learned about it thru Mohammad {one of Baby Julia’s Ninong/Khalo (uncle) and sponsor ng stroller niya, hahaha!}. I checked my profile just this month because of hubby. He created an account with Facebook. Nainggit kasi I’m always checking my friendster profile so siya rin naki-uso at gumawa ng account sa Facebook. Paranoid ever, I logged in again on my facebook account just to make sure that I can update on it and see what he is upto – selos ever, kuno! hehehe! When I checked on my account info, I joined with this community last July 2006 – the month where I arrived here in Doha, and guess how many friends I have? Only 13! Kumusta naman yun? Hahaha! That means I’m not that really active. Hubby made me delete guys on my list – nagseselos kuno but when you check his account he have girls on his list naman. So not to make and issue, eh di i-delete problema ba yun? hehehe!

I find Facebook so borring naman. All text and icons lang. But I have this new thing I’m enjoying with it, the Pet Pupz. It’s like an online Tamagochi thing. You get to play with your dog, feed and care for him/her and earn points everyday. Pambata noh? Pero it keeps me logging into my account after all so it’s okay. Para lang may magawa, hehehe!

So to sum it up, which one do you like most? Friendster or Facebook? It’s not actually a survey or something, I just like to have an opinion from you kung ano ba talaga ang mas in – naks!

You Know You Grew Up in the Middle East If …

I got this from ate Leslie thru her Multiply Blog and immediately answered the questions. Nakakamiss kasi, hehehe!
1. You can’t answer the question, “Where are you from?” (And when you do, you get into an elaborate conversation that gets everyone confused and/or makes you sound very spoiled.)

  • Iwas born in the Philippines but grew up in Saudi Sir… actually nalilito ako dati sa Panatang makabayan…yung part na “ito ang aking lupang sinilangan” not applicable yan sa karamihan na pinanganak sa ibang bansa.

2. You flew before you could walk

  • N/A – Me, my Mom and my 2nd sister flew there when I was at the age of 7.

3. You have a passport, but no driver’s license.

  • I agree with ate Les, whenever we went home for vacation sobrang kapit ako sa family ko kasi di ako marunong mag-commute, hahaha!

4. You think California is cold.

  • Again, I 2nd the motion with ate Les that SUMMER IN CALIFORNIA is WINTER IN SAUDI ARABIA, bwahahaha!

5. You watch National Geographic specials and recognize someone.

  • Korek! Camels, hehehe!

6. You run into someone you know at every airport.

8. Your life story uses the phrase “Then we went to…” five times.

  • Korek! Before we always say “PAL AIRLINES MEANS PALPAK – kasi laging delayed ang flight”

10. You feel self conscious around all white people.

  • Not really conscious but I feel happy kasi finally there’s someone who can talk to straight in English. I remember the time when my Dad signed me up with Summer Swimming Lessons sa isang American/British Compound – sosyal ang lola mo pinapaligiran ng mga kano, hehehe! Thanks God natuto naman ako mag swimming. Lumaki nga lang ang balikat ko.

11. You get offended when someone turns down an offer for food.

  • Not really…

12. You live at school and go home for vacation.

  • 101% korek! Vacation means GOING HOME TO PINAS, weeewww!

13. You treasure pork and root beer as highly-valued commodities.

  • Oo kasi sa Riyadh during prayer times eh nag clo-close ang mga malls/shops/kiosk. Unlike here in Qatar.

  • Hehehe!

20. Rain is still one of the most wonderful sounds in the world.

43. You are used to giving directions according to landmarks, not street names.

44. It’s normal to wake up and have four or more Pakistani men fixing your AC.

Julia’s Flower Girl

It’s Monday night. Hubby’s day off. We went over to our friends’ house after eating lunch & dinner {at the same time, sensya na late na kasi kami bumangon eh… sleeping marathon again} at Opera Cafe. Craved for Filipino style Spaghetti that’s why I invited hubby to eat out.

I went over to Julia’s 3 Ninang’s flat to say hello. They gave me this cute note/picture stand holder – pwedeng pwede kay Julia… hehehe!

Isn’t she adorable? What I loved about her is the heart on her blond hair and that cute little round nose. Naku good thing hindi na ako naglilihi. Thank you so much ate Mimsie, Joy and Joana for this.

I’m thinking to place a picture of Baby Julia’s 1st photo here. Can’t wait for the big day.

Today is Friday :)

I woke up having backpains again and my tummy’s so hard I can’t stand up for a long time. I thought I will give birth today – but again, false alarm.

I cried myself to sleep as hubby’s still asleep during the moments of pain. When he woke up, I told him that I’m in pain na. He asked if I wanted to go to the hospital – nerbyos ang umabot sa akin ning, I replied “No Sweety, I’m okay… I think I just need to take a rest…” :(

As much as I wanted to move this afternoon to prepare lunch for hubby, I really can’t. Thanks God and he understand what I was going thru – siguro sa gutom narin, he prepared his own meal. I took out the chicken breast earlier this morning when I woke up so that it’ll be ready by the time I will fry it pero nag inarte nga si Julia so hubby made it by himself nalang – wish ko lang di sya na-pressure sa pagluto noh? Hehehe!

I didn’t noticed that after I checked on him in the kitchen to see if everything is okay and went inside the room, I fall asleep na pala. This time I woke up having Julia only on the left side and she’s not moving also. I found myself crying – I MISSED MY MOM!

Hubby called home to inform my mom about my situation – I heard him saying “Mama, I’ll be booking your flight earlier as planned. I can’t concentrate on my work coz I’m thinking of Mary (that’s my first name) and scared to leave her behind. She’s in pain every now and then and tomorrow I will file her ML (Maternity Leave)…” – aaawwww… the worst thing about what he said – which I will not quote anymore, was that he thinks I have psychological problems already. Adik! Isipin daw bang loka loka na ako??? Pasaway na asawa ito! hehehe! Pero I know he was just joking around to make me calm down.

I spoke to my dad crying – and I he kept silent for a while and said “Oo anak… wag ka na umiyak… darating na si Mommy mo jan…” – and guess what I did? I cried more! hahaha! Instead of being comfortable mas lalo akong umiyak. Is this mood swings or what?

When my mom spoke to me naman, she was like asking kung possible to bring her here by 1st week of November. I cried more! Waaaah! I said “Mommy, di ko na kaya… baka manganak na ako dito… natatakot ako!!!”. Here’s what she replied “Eh anak wala pa yung ipin ko eh… galing ako ng dentista kanina pero tabingi yung sukat so babalik pa ako sa isang araw para ipaayos…” – my golay! Ipin lang pala nagpapapigil sa kanya pagpunta dito. I shouted and told her “Ah basta, ayusin mo na yang ipin mo bukas… huhuhu!” – then I gave the phone back to hubby coz I started to cry ulit.

Anyway, mommy sent an SMS saying “O sige na pupunta na ako jan, lakasan mo lang loob mo’t magdasal ka ng maigi. Tell Julia to wait for me muna…” – hayun! Papayag rin pala na maaga pumunta dito gusto pa yung ginagalit ako, charot!

I called my friend Joy to tell her about my leave which will start tomorrow but she was not answering the call – lumalafang pala ang lola mo, kumusta naman yun? So I called Joana instead. I was explaining what I was feeling then I cried again. Nataranta ata ang mga girls at nag decide na pumunta dito sa bahay agad after work. Ate Mimsie, Joy and Joana came over to comfort me. Awww…

They ordered pizza for merienda/dinner since it came late narin and after that we locked ourselves up inside the room to have kikay moments. Ang mga girls nag feeling teen-ager at nag nail polish ng di oras. Hahaha! Although the pain was still there but somehow, it made me forget kasi si Joy walang ginawag kung di magpatawa. Ang tigas tuloy lagi ng tsan ko, adik! I told her once I give birth, she should not be around kasi baka mapunit bigla ang tahi pag nagkataon, hehehe!

Hubby will come home late so we all lay down the bed and covered ourselves up while watching TFC – uuuyy mag promote daw ba?

When they left, I felt alone again. I said to myself – what if ngayon ako manganak? yung tipong my water bag will broke up and all the people is asleep tapos there will be no time na to take me to the hospital? Paranoid ever! Thanks God hindi nangyari yun.

When hubby came after dropping ate Mims, Joy and Mojo his phone rang and my mother-in-law was on the other line. She was asking how I was feeling. I was surprised to find out that they will come over to visit me by first week of November – Insha Allah (God willing).

The day has ended and I feel so blessed to have these people around me. I’m so so LUCKY to have friends I can rely on during this time. Iniisip ko nga do I deserve to be treated like this? But I guess the answer is YES kasi if I don’t deserve these people siguro matagal na nila akong iniwan diba?

Having a supportive family made my pregnancy so complete. Since day 1 especially my family-in-laws they were always there to advice me what to eat and what not to do and dumadating pa yung point na pinapagalitan nila si hubby kasi alam nyo naman ang asawa ko pang-inis!

When it comes to friends naman, sobrang happy ako kasi I just realized that it’s so hard to find people to whom you can rely on. Yung nanjan bigla pag kailangan mo. Alhamdulillah – Thanks be to God Almighty.

Special mention pa kay Pamela aka Terette – all the way from Canada eh always texting me and exchanging emails to see how am I doing. Kakatouch talaga.

Thank you Lord for this day and for the coming days to come.

Now I know why they say “TGIF – Thanks God it’s Friday”

Pregnancy at 36wks

I’m on my 36th week according to my pregnancy updates.

For this month I’ve been absent from work for the 3rd time due to backpains every morning and the pain that I’m experiencing every minutes. Julia’s kicking so hard. I guess she really wants to come out.

My updates said that by the end of this week my pregnancy is considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she’s in a head-down position. I’ve known about this even before especially with my last check up with my OB since I’ve been complaining pain under my abdomen.

My mom’s not yet here with me that’s why somehow I’m still scared to give birth but hubby’s in a hurry already. He told me “May golay! If you’re always having those pains, tell Julia to come out na… I will take care of her nalang since mami’s not yet here…”. I said to myself “OH REALLY?” Eh magka mood swings nga lang ako eh he’s giving up already what more pa kung I will be in pain after giving birth daba? and besides, mother really knows best.

Right now, I’m on my bed and can’t stand up. Tried to check work emails to check some updates but the site itself is down.

Question, kayanin ko kaya ang pagkalabas ni Julia? hahaha! Waaahhh!

Question of the Week #35

Nando’s Chicken

Well last Friday, hubby and the rest of the guys minus the girls this time decided to have dinner at Nando’s Chicken. At first, I don’t like the idea of eating there since I heard that they are serving spicy chicken but then hubby said that the food there is great and I will love it defenitely. So taking his word, we went there to eat.

The service is good and fast compare to other restaurant. I was told that the owner was from Syria – aha! that’s why they served a bottle of water agad. Yung iba kasi they will just serve what you asked them to and not to forget the tissues on the side. Sayang di ko dala yung camera ko so that I may be able to take pictures and share it with you guys, pero you know me naman always not prepared with these kinds of stuffs.

Again, as expected I didn’t finished my meal instaed I gave it to hubby to eat it – kaya siguro laging sleepy siya, hehehe! But what I liked about Nando’s is their Iced Tea. Sarap to the max! (ano ‘to Max Chicken? Hehehe!)

Too bad Joana, Joy and ate Emily was not around :( Next time nalang.

Me and baby Julia taking a snap shot after eating a full meal for dinner.
Baby Julia at 35wks. Bilog na bilog noh?
